Painting with Acrylics using Gel Plates 4-CLASS SERIES - Tuesday Afternoons with Joanne, 01/06 - 01/27, 1:00pm-4:00pm

Discover how fun and accessible art-making can be!

Once you start gel printing, it’s hard to stop. There are no drawing skills required, no right or wrong results, we’ll stay playful and develop a personal creative process, focusing on curiosity and experimentation. You’ll be guided step by step, with plenty of encouragement and embracing any happy accidents!

Students will learn:

  • Techniques for creating layered gel prints

  • How to use homemade stencils, masks, and found objects

  • How to incorporate botanicals into gel printing

  • How to use, care for, and store a gel printing plate

We will create prints and a variety of printed papers that can be used for:

  • Collage

  • Cards

  • Journals

  • Mixed Media paintings

No experience is necessary and an apron is recommended!
