SPRING WORKSHOP: Fused Glass Flowers Sunday May 3rd 11am - 1pm
Create your own vibrant glass flower to brighten your home or garden! In this hands-on workshop, students will design a one-of-a-kind fused glass flower using a variety of colorful glass pieces, frit, and design techniques.
You’ll be guided through the process of cutting, layering, and arranging glass to create petal shapes and unique patterns—no two flowers are ever the same. Students can choose from our collection of custom handmade ceramic molds, designed in-house to give each flower its own organic, sculptural form.
We’ll also introduce the basics of the kiln firing process and how glass transforms under heat, while we take care of the firing for you. Your finished piece will be kiln-fired, shaped, and mounted on a garden stake—ready to display.
Finished flowers will be available for pickup approximately 2 weeks after the workshop.
No experience necessary—just bring your creativity!

Interested in how traditional stained glass windows were made? Learn to create your own unique stained glass window with Kristin J. Harsma, a local stained glass artist, using the copper foil method. You will learn the complete process of making a small stained glass window starting with choosing a pattern, cutting the glass, foiling and finally soldering to complete the work. Other interesting and important highlights will include tips and safety precautions. You will pick 1 of 5 provided patterns, all designed by Kristin, or bring your own (no bigger than 10x10 inches for beginners) Class price covers all supplies and shared tools such as glass grinders and soldering irons. You are welcome to choose from our scrap glass or purchase your own. Class is 6 sessions.

Fused Glass: Techniques & Kiln Processes (6-Week Session)
Dive deep into the art of fused glass in this immersive 6-week class designed for curious beginners and returning students alike. Meeting once a week for two hours, students will explore a variety of fused glass techniques while gaining a solid understanding of the kiln firing process from start to finish.
Over the course of the session, you’ll design and create three unique fused glass projects, learning skills such as glass cutting, layering, tack fusing, full fusing, and finishing techniques. Along the way, you’ll be introduced to kiln schedules, firing styles, and how heat transforms glass—giving you the knowledge to confidently plan future projects.
This class offers a relaxed, supportive environment with plenty of hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and guided studio time. Whether you’re brand new to glass or ready to expand your skills, you’ll leave with beautiful finished pieces and a deeper understanding of the fused glass process.
All tools, equipment, and kiln firings included. Materials fees may apply.

Intermediate Wheel Ceramics - Tuesday Evenings with Amanda, 04/21-05/26, 6:00pm-9:00pm
In this intermediate class, students will continue wheel-throwing fundamentals. Please note that prior class or experience is required. Students will improve their skills and learn to make larger and more complex forms. Students will continue to learn glazing and decorating techniques to finish their work.

Raku Firing! Sunday April 19, 11am-3pm with Melinda & Mike
Meet, Mingle and Make Fire! We have 2 small Raku kilns that we will keep running as long as we have items to fire. We will start in the morning (rain or shine!), unless a burn ban is in effect. Raku firing events generally take about 4 hours, so bring a snack! : )
