3D Stained Glass Hummingbird Workshop
Take your stained glass skills to the next level by creating a stunning three-dimensional hummingbird that appears to be frozen in flight. This unique two-day workshop introduces techniques for constructing sculptural stained glass while building confidence in precision cutting, assembly, and soldering.
Designed for Intermediate to Advanced stained glass students, you'll complete every step of the copper foil process, including cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and finishing. Because of the intricate construction and detailed soldering required, prior stained glass experience is recommended.
This workshop is taught by a talented guest instructor who specializes in three-dimensional stained glass artwork and regularly exhibits and sells her creations at regional art and craft markets. She'll share the techniques and tips she's developed through years of creating these beautiful sculptural pieces.
Workshop Schedule
Monday (2:00–6:00 PM): Cut, grind, and foil all glass pieces while preparing the project for assembly.
Wednesday (2:00–6:00 PM): Assemble, solder, and finish your hummingbird, leaving with a beautiful piece ready to display.
